The Mud Puppies were founded in the early 1990's. They quickly became one of the most popular bands in the Desert Southwest and San Diego areas.

For 2 consecutive years, the Mud Puppies were the winners of the GMC/True Value Country Music Showdown in Yuma, Arizona. They went on to represent the Southern Arizona and California regions in Kingman Arizona at the regional competition. Additionally, the Mud Puppies were recognized as the best local country band at the San Diego Music Awards in 1993.

The Mud Puppies had a number of opportunties to work with some legends in the country music industry. They have opened up for acts such as Highway 101, Johnny Lee, Earl Thomas Conley, Skip Ewing and Tom Wopat to name a few.

The band stayed together for about 3 years before deciding to part ways. After a nearly 13 year hiatus, original members Alan, Raul, and Todd decided it was time to get the band back together again. The addition of Kelly in the role of lead vocalist adds a new dimension to the band. We are also happy to announce our newest member of the 'Pups, Andrew Zendejas at lead guitar.
